 | | Born in 1967, Karine Romanelli now works and lives next to Paris in the Chevreuse valley. Completely self-taught, drawing and painting have always been her favourite means of expression. Fascinated in decoration, Karine started by painting for children in very bright colours. Naturally, she felt the need to work colour differently by adding matter. Nowadays, she paints in acrylic, especially with a knife. She works on volumes, includes materials like bark, wood, string and leaves the spectator a tactile impression of her work. Her colours, in ochres, reds and oranges, allow immobile journeys. |
