 | | After studying graphic arts and spending 5 years as an artistic director in Paris advertising agencies, Ségo devoted herself entirely to her “Série-golo”. In 1999 the first “Série-golo” was born using modelling clay: “It was as simple and colourful as happiness, we loved each other immediately. Happiness is what I wish above all, for myself and for you.” The family then started to grow, from modelling clay to painting, illustrations and screen-printed fabric, and it hasn’t stopped yet... The Série-golos all have big round eyes, they look surprised and filled with wonder by life, they are close to the words of children, like a view of the discovery of the world and of other people. And, believe me if you will, they occasionally catch us observing them. They are there, in front of us, with their soft shapes and vivid colours: how could we resist? I fell for them immediately and since then I have lived with one foot in this world and the other in their world of tenderness. |
